Key Features of CHROVIT
CHROVIT is an optical component enabling multi-surface simultaneous imaging and laser marking using high-precision prisms. It simultaneously achieves simplified equipment, lower costs, space savings, and improved cycle times.
1. Multi-surface Simultaneous Imaging & Marking by High-Precision Prisms
By utilizing CHROVIT, we combine our expertise in high-Precision prism processing technology with the principles of glass refraction, enabling simultaneous focusing on multiple surfaces for imaging and laser marking.
-
● Multi-surface Simultaneous Imaging
Utilizing prism reflection, a single camera can capture multiple surfaces that typically require separate angles—such as opposing sides, top and bottom surfaces, stepped edges, or inner cylindrical walls.
-
● Optical Path Length Compensation
Corrects optical path differences caused by glass refractive indices to achieve uniform focus across the entire surface.
*May not be uniform depending on workpiece shape.
*Workpiece size and shape limitations apply.
2. Equipment Simplification and Cost Reduction
A CHROVIT replaces multi-angle imaging that previously required multiple cameras or complex optical systems.
- Significantly simplified machine configuration by reducing the number of cameras and lighting systems.
- Reduced adjustment workload and maintenance costs by minimizing component count.
- Space optimization through integration, minimizing the equipment footprint.
3. Flexibility Through a Wide Variety of Options
Please specify the areas you wish to image simultaneously: the top surface and outer circumference, the four sides and top surface, the top and bottom surfaces, or the entire circumference of a cylindrical shape etc.
We propose prism shapes tailored to your purpose and workpiece shape.
This enables imaging with full-surface focus in a single shot from one direction—where multiple shots or multiple cameras would normally be required.

Mortar Mirror for Cylinder Outer Surface Inspection
This mirror reflects the side surface of a cylindrical workpiece placed in a mortar-shaped center, projecting it in a fan-shaped pattern.
Optically, aberrations occur because the focal points differ across the cross-section of the light beam. Depending on the imaging lens, significant blurring may occur.
Please use a lens with the deepest possible depth of field.
