Application Examples of TOP & BOTTOM CHROVIT
A camera positioned above the hoop material enables simultaneous imaging of both the top and bottom surfaces of the workpiece.
It is also frequently used for inspecting the top and bottom surfaces of ICs, enclosures, connectors, and other components.

The difference between Right-Angle Prism and CHROVIT
Using a right-angle prism, take two separate images with the top and bottom surfaces each individually focused.
The focal length on the bottom surface is farther than that on the top surface, as shown in the left figure.
Therefore, it is necessary to focus separately on the top and bottom surfaces and capture two separate images.
Using a CHROVIT, capture both the top and bottom simultaneously with a single camera.
By inserting a glass element to compensate for the optical path length on the longer focal length side (the bottom surface of the workpiece), the focal lengths of both sides can be equalized. The magnification on both sides can also be identical.
